Development Committee

 

The Development Committee provides opportunities for as many individuals, churches, businesses and foundations as possible to participate in Habitat's work through capital contributions.

The Development Committee includes in its membership individuals who are not members of the Board of Directors.  Members agree to serve on the committee for a period of at least one year.  The Chair of the Development Committee will be a member of the Board of Directors.

The duties and responsibilities of the Development Committee include the following:

Recruiting and training Committee members

Implementing strategies to meet fundraising goals

bullet

Identifying and soliciting donors of the affiliate

bullet

Coordinating direct solicitation campaigns

bullet

Providing training for board members in the skills necessary for the cultivation of personal contacts

bullet

Coordinating proposals for grants from foundations and businesses

bullet

Updating donor database
