Partnership Committee

The Partnership Committee is responsible for helping Habitat homeowners become successful homeowners through effective mentoring and education programs.  The Committee ensures that an affiliate's work goes beyond simply building or filling houses, to fulfilling Habitat's mission to improve lives.  This Committee develops strategies to ensure that HFHRV's staff, volunteers and homeowners understand the concept of Partnership. 

The Partnership Committee includes in its membership individuals who are not members of the Board of Directors.  Members agree to serve on the committee for a period of at least one year.  The Chair of the Partnership Committee will be a member of the Board of Directors.

The duties and responsibilities of the Partnership Committee include the following:

Recruiting and training Committee members

Monitoring and record keeping of sweat equity hours

bullet

Providing prospective homeowners with support systems and educational opportunities

bullet

Ensuring each prospective homeowner is assigned a family advocate to work with the family throughout the Partnership process

bullet

Preparing homeowners for the responsibilities of homeownership
