Volunteer Committee

 

The Volunteer Committee ensures the HFHRV is fulfilling its mission in a way that builds bridges across economic, religious, social, and racial barriers by recruiting, orienting, and training in as many members of our community as possible to participate effectively in our affiliate's activities, both on-site and in committees.

The Volunteer Committee includes in its membership individuals who are not members of the Board of Directors.  Members agree to serve on the committee for a period of at least one year.  The Chair of the Volunteer Committee will be a member of the Board of Directors.

The duties and responsibilities of the Volunteer Committee include the following:

Recruiting and training Committee members

Holding volunteer recruitment programs with staff assistance

Providing volunteers to operate and staff the affiliate's HomeStore

bullet

Coordinating volunteer recognition dinners with staff assistance

bullet

Coordinating the Board of Director's Site Ambassador program

bullet

Coordinating meals and entertainment for groups visiting the affiliate

bullet

Developing and implementing volunteer training for skill development and printing certificates of accomplishment

bullet

Reviewing volunteer feedback forms and making recommendations to the Board of Directors for more effective volunteer relations
